Massage Heights Plans 10 Locations for Fort Worth Market & Surrounding Communities

|

Known as a leader of professional, affordable, and convenient therapeutic massage and facial services, Massage Heights has plans to develop 10 new Retreats throughout the Fort Worth market and surrounding areas in the coming years. The continued expansion into Texas will be led by Area Representative and local entrepreneur Maggie Walker. Walker's first location is set to open in Abilene, Texas, by the end of 2018.

As Area Representative, Walker is responsible for leading the franchisee recruitment effort in order to open more Retreats across the region. Massage Heights plans for this new expansion to take place in communities throughout Fort Worth, West Texas, and Central Texas.

Talking about her role as Area Representative, Walker said, “My first visit to a Massage Heights Retreat occurred while I was on vacation with my husband. We've been researching new concepts to bring to our local community and quickly realized that a membership-based massage Retreat was just what our area was missing... I am thrilled to be an area representative of Fort Worth and the other surrounding communities and look forward to applying my background in franchising to develop the area with not only locations of my own, but also with other prospective franchisees.”

Maggie Walker is a certified public accountant who has accumulated close to 15 years of experience in the human resources and payroll departments of her existing business. Walker is a veteran of the franchise industry, and opened her first Sport Clips franchise location with her husband 2004. She now has 3 locations in Texas and has implemented a business structure that emphasizes respect among employees, and creating a respectful and enjoyable work environment. After seeing several Massage Heights Retreats for herself and researching the membership-based business model, Walker embarked on developing the brand in her local area. Walker's son-in-law, Eddie Lackey will assist with the expansion in his role as regional manager.

Tim Hicks, senior vice president of franchise operations and development for Massage Heights had the following to say, “Texas is a strong, underpenetrated market for Massage Heights and we are thrilled to continue our targeted development in key locations throughout the Fort Worth area.” Speaking about the task in front of Walker, Hicks said, “Maggie has an exceptional understanding of franchising service-based concepts and we are confident that she will be an incredible asset to the brand."

In 2017, Massage Heights reported over $100 million in revenue and opened 14 Retreats nationwide, making for a record year in revenue for the fast growing massage franchise. Interested franchisees should have $175,000 in liquid assets and minimum $400,000 net worth per location. They must also have a background in sales or retail management, as well as experience managing hourly wage employees. Massage Heights is also looking to expand into Nashville, Chicago, St. Louis, South Florida, and Las Vegas in the near future.
