San Antonio-based Massage Heights will open its fourth Austin location in Lakeway on Aug. 10. Massage Heights plans to open seven more locations in the Austin market over the next two years.
The new franchise is owned and operated by Charles Schaefer of AT2 LLC and is at 2009 Main St., Suite 110. It is in the Oaks at Lakeway shopping center, built by Austin's Stratus Properties Inc.
Schaefer graduated from Texas A&M in 2011 and he worked in commercial real estate before moving to Austin to open the franchise.
Schaefer said the next Austin-area location will open in The Parke, a Cedar Park development that will also be home to a 365 by Whole Foods Market store. Schaefer is working with The Weitzman Group to identify the other locations.
Massage Heights, a therapeutic massage and facial chain, is on track to open 30 locations across the country this year with a goal of 300 locations open by 2019.
